ADHD Testing
An evaluation to determine a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) involves several types of evaluation procedures to determine the presence of the disorder in an individual. The assessment involves background and developmental history, clinical interviews, behavior rating scales from individuals in various settings, observations of behavior, and at times a computerized assessment of attention. Many times physicians and academic professionals also want cognitive and acdemic evaluations performed to determine the impact of the disability on learning. This is particularly necessary for an individual to qualify for accommodations in standardized testing and in colleges and universities.
