Privacy and Policies
HIPAA regulations are adhered to and your privacy and confidentiality are both respected and protected. The law protects information exchanged between the psychologist and client and the information cannot be disclosed without signing a release of information form.
Exceptions include:
· Suspected abuse involving a minor, dependent adult, such an an elderly or disabled adult, for which psychologists are required by law to report immediately to the appropriate authorities.
· Threats of bodily harm to another individual.
· If a client reveals an intent to harm himself or herself, effort will be made to illicit to their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If they do not cooperate, there is a legal obligation to take further steps without their permission.
Fee Policy

For evaluation services, to maintain control of privacy and individual choice among indpendent practioners, Dr. Crossman is not on any insurance plans. She will provide an invoice for the services which can be submitted to your insurance company for reimbursement. She is considered an “out-of-network” provider, and your insurance will reimburse you at a rate based on your particular plan. There is no guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for services, as plans vary. It is recommended that you contact your insurance provider to discuss the benefits of your plan.
The fee for the evaluations vary depending upon the type of evaluation and the time required. The evaluations typically run based on an hourly rate plus time for analysis of results and report writing. The fee can be divided up into two payments, 1st payment at the first session and 2nd payment paid at the feedback session. Check and major credit cards are accepted.
